this article you quote is not based on facts, and complete Stastics.Obama wins also the midwest states where african american population is less than 5%.
He attacted more white male votes than Hillary, and he is cutting into the base of her core supporters like female, and senior citizens, black and white.
Just quoting South Carolina is biased. And to assume that because he is african american, and he is inspiriational, he must be winning the african american voters and then again assume that is bad, is nothing less than naive and narrow minded, if not racist.
You are free to dislike a candiate, but do not do that because he is a great speaker and young.
On the other hand, what is wrong with Afrian American vote for Obama, fact is, they don't all do that. If it is now an Asian American candidates who is attracting voters, Asian voters, but also across race, age and income groups, and inspirational, would you feel that is some sort of raical craze? I bet I will feel extra excited if he is really a good candidates, and Asian. I will feel proud.
The author of the article is right about one thing, Obama do not represent the usual African American, and he does not play that card. He does not have to. He is competing as a very outstanding person and young politician.
What is wrong when an intelligent and idealistic young politican, yes, he is politican and has all the general qualities we would not like or trust in politican, brings a fresh air into the political landscape plagued with stupidty, arrogance, secrecy and conservatism in the past 8 years, for this country, that people show some love and interest and enthusiasm.
What really disgust me is that I have been hearing exactly the same view from some fellow Chinese on this line. It bothers me.
What is the author of this article scared of? If he is scared of those speakers as this ariticle mentioned, those name I do not care to requote, then think of Martin Luther King and Winston Churchill. Think of those great speakers who unite and rebuild, not those who destroy. Obama definitely belongs to the second category, or, at the very least, it is wrong to associate him with the first category with no proof.
The assumptions and sentiment beind this article and this post I do not want to explore further, for it pains me to think, but I have to say this is the type of sentiments I do not agree or like.
We can all be judgemental and opinionated, but I feel the judgement or opinion expressed in this article is the very wrong kind.
I can not vote, if I can, I will vote for Obama. I was supporting Clinton, but I think Obama will do different things and I do want to see that it is possible a second generation immigrant can become a president of America, that is the American dream to its fullest. And Obama hase the vision, the emotional maturity and the courage and intelligence to lead.
An experince politican can be a good governer or ministers, a president should be visionary and inspiriational.
The way Hillary and Bill Clinton campaigned so far disappointed me as well. Attacking on issues that does not matter, and close to personal attack.
And I have to totally agree with one of my friend, I don't believe in dynasty. Given what they have already, she is too eager to get this position, almost desperate. I admire both of them, I met them once, they are people with great charisma and intelligence, but it does not mean that they deserve to win because of what were in the past. I don't believe in advantage by association.
And to honest, I am just simply amazed by the elections process in this country, that freedom, that your vote can really make a difference, is what this all matter, where you don't vote for the candidate when he or she, mostly he, is the only name on the ballot.
I wish I can write this in Chinese to be consistent with the post and the article, but my blood runs too fast for me to type in Chinese, on this topic.
So there.
Sorry, forget to type my name for the above comment.

但是,就是这个星期就听到她说,“I am really proud of my country for the first time in my adult life."这,确实就让我怀疑她的Harvard Law的水平了。
PC vs. Apple, that's a joke.
一小部分(怎么样,政治正确吧?)apple用户是比较讨厌。
另外,我猜奥巴马夫人第一次以美国为荣该是她进入哈佛的时候,you know what I mean.
Mrs. O went to Princeton before she attended Harvard. Her brother also attended Princeton. Based on the fact that they are from modest background, I thought they'd be very proud of the country that has provided them with superb life opportunities.
