在胶东人看来,最好的海鱼是加吉鱼。小时候吃过,味道如何记不清楚了。几星期前去渔人码头,看到了Red Snapper,我爸爸说那就是加吉鱼。上网查了一下,Red Snapper顾名思义是红鲷;加吉鱼应是真鲷,不过也差不多。鲷音雕,我一直还以为是念绸。买了将近四磅重的一条,炖来味道不错。
常看到一种鸟,体态细长,尖尾巴,叫起来咕咕咕咕……。毫无道理地觉得那就是古书里常提到的鹧鸪。查了一下,那其实是哀鸽(Mourning Dove),因叫声哀伤而得名。鹧鸪也以叫声悲切著称,那么我错得也有一点点道理了。

林断山明竹隐墙,乱蝉衰草小池塘。
翻空白鸟时时见,照水红蕖细细香。
村舍外,古城旁,杖藜徐步转斜阳。
殷勤昨夜三更雨,又得浮生一日凉。

I ordered a red snapper in the best sea food restaurant in Chinatown when my parents visited IN 2001. It cost $90. My parents and their freinds were happy with it. So I believe we people from Shandong really value this fish highly....

steamed...I was too shocked with the price to taste it..kidding, I was happy that my parents and their friends loved it.
